Her Prince Layout

Well it's been a very long time since I created a layout. For this layout I used Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine Papers, twine, Prima Heather Flowers, Prima Pearl Swirl Bling, Magic Mesh, Bazzill Tiny Brads and American Crafts Thickers stickers. My photo's are the sizes of a 5 inch by 7 inch and the two (2) wallets with edges sanded for a distress look. Tools I used are a paper distresser, sewing machine and heavy duty needle.

Using the sewing machine I stitched by bigger photo down. Used the heavy duty needle and twine and added some more stitching. Paper distresser I used around the layout edges and around each piece of paper. To make this shape I used one of the Die Cut sheets that came in the paper package and traced it onto another sheet of paper in the package.

Sending my Love Card

Here's another lovely Valentines card. The size for this card is 5 inches by 12 inches folded in half to create a 5 inch by 6 inch card. Use your border punch and punch the edge of only one side. This card opens at the bottom, the front edge is punched the back flap is left alone.

Using the brown ink, ink your edges. For this card I use three (3) different papers from the Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine Papers and trimmed out one of the cards that came with this paper package. Using the paper distresser I distressed all my paper edges. Adhered them like shown. Stapled some white tulle down one side, place my stick pins through one of the staples.

Paper Rose Totorial: I used two different size scalloped circles and punched out two of the same bigger circle and one smaller. Using my scissors and every two scalloped I cut in just so far all the way around. Do the same for the other scalloped circles. Punch a hole in the center of each circle. Roll the petals of each circle and layer them together like in photo. Using a brad to adhere to your card. Place the string of pearl or gems along the bottom of your card.

I ♥ You Mini Album

Happy Valentines Day to all!

Here's a very lovely mini album that I got to make, I used Bo Bunny 'Sweetie Pie' Paper & Cardstock Stickers.

First I worked with the letter "I" since it was the smallest letter and piece. I'm a person of distressing so added some Brown Ink to the edges. Then added 3 5mm Crystal Bling to the stem of the "I". Wrapped a piece of 5/8" Clover Double Dot ribbon below the Crystal Bling.

Second I worked on the ♥ piece. This piece for me was a little trickier. Added some Cardstock Stickers here and there did some touch up using Crystal Bling in the center of the flowers and inked the edges.

Third moved onto the letter "Y" adding some cardstock stickers, Crystal Bling to the center of the biggest flower on the back. Inked all the edges. Added 5/8" Pink Punch DD Ribbon by wrapping it around from top to bottom and tieing off.

In this step I altered the letter "O". Added some ribbon, Crystal Bling, cardstock stickers and did some inking.

Letter "U" was slightly harder. You had to cut around the swirls in the papers, tuck photo mats behind those swirls. Add some cardstock stickers, crystal bling and some inking. Used 3 Binder rings to hold my mini album together.

I totally had fun creating this little mini album. And I hope you grab yours today and have fun playing. I know I did.

♥Valentine's Day Cards♥

The papers used in these projects are from Fancy Pants Vintage Valentine kit. But you can use any kind of papers you want. The first card I used a template from Maya Road for the shape. I also used a Martha Stewart Border Punch, Maya Road Chipboard Snowflake, twine, American Crafts Thickers, misc chipboard heart and red glitter glue (Stickles). Card is a 5 by 7 in size.

Second card & pillow box, I used a misc chipboard heart, ribbon, Martha Stewart Border Punch, template of a pillow box, twine, red stickles, scalloped circle punch and mini alpha stickers. I used Stickles to border both my pillow box and card. Card is a 5 by 7 in size.

For the the third card I used Paper Studio Pearls, twine, and a paper distresser. This card is a 5 by 7 in size.

Merry Christmas Cards

Hi everyone!!!

I have created two cards, these cards were pretty quick to make. I used the Maya Road's Artistic Scroll as a template for both my cards. The first one was cut out of Kraft Cardstock. Using Fancy Pants Christmas Magic Paper Kit I selected my paper and trimmed out another piece using the same shape as my background insert. I also used a border sticker from the kit itself. I then stamped my sentiment across the top and punched out some snowflakes (3) placing them randomly.

My second card was made for a very very special lady. And I wanted her Christmas card to be unique. I used Crate Paper's Bliss Collection these kits come with amazing stickers and diecut elements. Using Martha Stewart's Doily Punch I punched out the edge, then overlapped the two different pieces of paper together. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment and punched out a snowflake and adhered it onto the card. To add more definition I doodled all around the edges.

Quick & Easy Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card

to make for that special

someone in your life. It's quick and easy.

My card base is a 4.5 inches by 4.5 inches. The fold

is at the top. I stitched along the lower and right

sides of this card.

Using Making Memories Journaling

Notebook I traced out two shapes. Make one about

a quarter of an inch smaller. Distress the edge using either

a pair of scissors or paper distresser. Lay

them like shown in photo. Then color and place a matted

images like shown.

Place your HB letters in the lower

right hand corner. I also used a piece of twine and tied

a bow. This card looks so much prettier in real life.

Happy Holidays Card

It's that time of year again. Your card tutorial is

this lovely shape. Using the a Artistic Scroll template from the Maya Road

I cut the shape out of white cardstock and traced it onto

a folded sheet from Cosmo Cricket-Jolly by Golly Paper Pack.
Then I use another sheet of choice and cut a piece that measured out

5 1/8 inches long by 2 1/8 inches wide. Be sure to

ink your edges of all your pieces. Next I cut a piece measuring

7 inches long by 1 1/8 inches wide. Use your Fiskars

threading water punch and punch one edge. Be sure to ink

the edges. Using twine I criss crossed and tied a bow.

Adding finishing touches: I used a Heidi Swapp Ghost

Snowflake, a cardstock sticker from the Cosmo Cricket and mini

white brad with a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch.

Happy Birthday Card

For this birthday card I used SEI Oasis paper packet from Posh Designs Scrapbook Store. And a square scalloped template from Maya Road along with a couple of flowers layered together.

Start off with a 5 inch by 5 inch size card base. Ink the edges with black ink. Using the square scalloped template print onto a piece of pattern paper and cut out. Use only half of the scalloped square and ink the edges.

Print out your sentiment as well on a piece of white cardstock. Ink the edges. With another piece of pattern paper cut out a piece that is 4 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches, ink the edges and adhere to you card base.

Place your scalloped piece of pattern paper to the left side like shown. Then place your sentiment like shown in the photo of my card.

Take your layered flower and place it upper left hand corner of your sentiment.

Holiday Blessings

Christmas is just round the corner. So today I'm going to sharing a non-traditional Christmas card with you. Threading Water and Snowflake punches were used on this card.

Using Bazzill Kraft Cardstock measure a piece that is 5 inches wide and 10 inches long. Fold in half. Take the Treading Water punch and start at the fold, punch both sides of the front of your card. Ink and distress all your card edges.

Grab about three scrap pieces of pattern paper that should be no smaller then 5 inches long. On this card I used Basic Grey's Eva Collection that can be found at Posh Designs Scrapbook Store.

Use the Treading Water punch and one piece of pattern paper measuring 1 3/4 inches wide by 5 inches long punch one edge. Adhere on the left side of your card. Take another scrap piece of pattern paper that measures out 1 3/4 inches wide by 5 inches long adhere right behind the hole punches left by the Treading Water punch.

Cut another piece of pattern paper that should measure about 5 inches long by 1 1/2 inches wide. Stamp your choice of sentiment to the rightside of this piece. I used white ink for this. Adhere by weaving under (yellow piece show in picture) and lining it up with the back of the card.

Using your snowflake punch, punch out three snowflake in a different pattern paper. Grab a ghost snowflake or even make your own adhere down. Using mini pink brads adhere you punched out snowflakes like shown in photo.

Just for You Card

Using the Basic Grey's Lemonade Paper Pack and a scalloped square template this card was created with ease. Starting with a 5 inch by 10 inch piece of cardstock of your choice. Fold in half to create a 5 by 5 size card. Use one sheet of pattern paper of choice leave a 1/4 of inch around the edge of base card. Ink the edges of both base card and papers. Next using the scalloped square, place in the center of your card be sure the edges are inked. Using a border punch, punch out a strip of paper and place across the bottom of your scalloped square. Be sure to ink the edges!

Stamp yourself an image and color to match your papers. Place in the center of your scalloped square after inkin the edges and adding some doodling. Next place your choice of sentiment in the lower right hand corner and a layerd flower in the upper left hand corner by stitching it down with a button and some cotton thread. Add a couple of branches using a brand punch and some pearls.

Thank You Card

We're back with another card for your crafty card making needs, I sure hope you will enjoy this quick & easy tutorial!

1) Using Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink and a baby wipe you are going to need to distress the edges of your 5 3/4 inches by 5 3/4 inches square piece of pattern paper. Once you've wet the edges of your piece of paper you will then take you fingernail and rake it back and forth. Curl the edges randomly around the edges. Let it dry.

2) Once your piece of paper has dried you will then adhere it down in just a couple of spots. Using the sewing machine you will stitch around the edge of your paper. Add you sentiment to the upper side of your card, like shown.

3) Sew a couple of white buttons in the upper right hand corner using a cotton thread. Also choose three different sheets of pattern papers. Cut three small pieces all from different patterns. NO 90 degree angles on any piece. Make them smaller on one end then the other. The piece going across the bottom use a Thread Water Border Punch or anything else that will make scallops.

4) Using the Tim Holtz Tea Dye Distress Ink be sure to ink all your edges of your pieces. Including the edges of your card base. Adhere the scalloped edge piece first across the bottom. Next adhere the other two pieces like shown. Add embellishments and a home made flower to the lower left hand corner.

FLOWER TUTORIAL: This flower is made by cutting one circle (brown piece) at a random size. Then using a scalloped circle punch make another larger circle (green piece). Wad these two circles up into little balls and then flattin out add ink to distress them. Layer them and then sew a button to the center with the cotton thread.

♥Welcome Card♥

Here's a simple easy peasy type card this week. Using mostly cardstock. I also used a template from MayaRoad which can be found here. I used the scalloped square behind my image. I wanted a different look the edge of my card so using the Threading Water Punch I punched the edge of the main card. Using my choice of Copic Markers I colored in the image. Using the Distress Ink - Tattered Rose I inked distressed my image. Added my sentiment to the bottom of the card above the threading water border.

Here's a close up of my card as well. Using one Trellis Rose I adhered it to the upper left hand corner of my image. Then used the leaf branch punch to add more dimension to the card. Giving the card a more delicate look.

Feel Better Soon Card

Good day to you all! We are going to create a 'Feel Better Soon' type card.
First you'll need a 5 inch by 10 inch cardstock of choice. Fold in half and ink the edges. You will need a piece of patterned paper of choice as well, measuring 4 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches and ink its edges as well.

Second you will cut another patterned paper of your choice measuring out to be 1 1/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches. Using the Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch punch one edge and ink all edges. Place 1/2 inch from the fold of your card. Cut out a 3 inch circles and ink edge. Grab some bling of choice and place on the lower part of your circle like shown.

Third grab three different size flowers and layer them and attach with mini brad to the lower part of your circle. Stamp your sentiment of choice as well on the circle. Now you have a lovely looking card for that special someone in your life.

Happy Birthday Card

I'm not sure about ya'all but I'm always in need of birthday cards and thought I would go towards that route for today's project so I hope you'll enjoy this little "How To" :)

1) Take a journaling sheet from your MM journaling book and trace it onto a folded sheet of cardstock. Be sure you have the fold at the top. Trim out. Ink the edges with black. Next take one sheet of your choice, cut a piece that measures about 1.5 inches by 7.5 inches. Use the threading water punch and punch out both sides and ink. Adhere it through the middle of your card. Trim the excess off so that it matches the shape of your card. Ink the edges.

2) Cut a 4.5 inch circle out and stamp your sentiment around the circle. Ink the edges of your circle. Next you will need a square in the size of 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches. Ink its edges. Adhere to the center of your card. Then adhere your circle sentiment like shown below. Place your swirls in the center of your circle.

3) Next, using another Birthday sentiment adhere it in the lower right hand corner like shown below. Be sure to ink the edges first. Using three random size circles cut by hand. Wad them up to distress them and then ink. Stitch them down using a cotton thread and needle, and Voila!

A Lovely Card for a Lovely Sister

Hi everyone,

my name is Dawn first I'd like to thank Nini for giving me the opportunity to work on her lovely Design Team, I will be specializing in cardmaking!

Now onto my first card, which I made for one of my sisters. I used a few sheets of lovely patterned papers from Basic Grey's Eva Collection which can be found right over at Posh Design Scrapbook Store. I love all things Basic Grey and these paper are extremely versatile, and easy peasy to work with because they are so pretty!

Supplies used:

Bling Bazzill 'Cream' Cardstock
2 Sheets from Basic Grey's 'Eva' Collection
Pink and Black Inks
Martha Stewart Doily and Leaf Punches
Prima Say it in Crystals Black Oval Frame
Prima Flowers
Mini White Brads
Chipboard Shape (heart)

1) Using a cardstock sheet cut out a piece that is 5 inches wide by 12 inches long. Fold in half making a 5 inch by 6 inch card base. Ink all the edges of the cardstock as you like. Cut a piece from a sheet of patterned papers of your choice, I used Basic Grey's Eva paper and that should be about 4 inches long by 2 1/2 inches wide and punch the out the edge of one side. Ink the edges with your ink. Next, cut another piece of printed paper which should measures 2 inches by 2 1/2 inches and ink the edges.

Place your piece as shown below:

2) Place your bling frame slightly off and then adhere the chipboard heart shape with some pop dots.


3) Next embellish your card as you wish, I used a leaf punch but you can use just about anything, I added some flowers, brads and a sentiments!
