The Sweet Days Of Summer ~ Jackie's Creations

I am excited and a little sad about this post. First, I am excited about the fabulous products in my DT Kit this month! The rubons and papers from Fancy Pants Summer Soiree Collection are gorgeous! But I am a little sad that this is my last post as a Design Team Member for Posh Designs Scrapbook Store. I will still be around the interactive community though and of course I will be reading the blog to get awesome tips, and hear all the new fabulous products coming into the store! I want to thank Nini for this awesome opportunity, it has been amazing! And trust me if you ever get a chance to design for Nini you will love it, she is an awesome boss! And she puts together cool kits!

Now onto today projects! This is a layout of my Daughter and her two best friends. First off, I distressed a brown piece of cardstock, then cropped a super cute patterned piece of paper from this month's DT kit. I also used a border punch to punch along the bottom and top of the paper. I then added two strips of different patterned paper and added a paper clip on top.

Next, I added the word "Summer" using the fun fuzzy alpha stickers from Making Memories Felt Alpha Stickers as you can tell from previous posts I have used these stickers on numerous projects! A single package can go a long way, they are worth every penny! I then added rubons which are also from the Fancy Pants Summer Soiree line and a gorgeous flower from Prima Flower Power - Blush Posies! Followed by a cute little journaling card that also came in the cute paper pack from this month's kit.

I used the Tim Holtz Idea-Ology Tiny Attacher to attach my ribbon, and the little quote to a piece of ribbon for a cute little embellishment for my photo! YES, the staples are that tiny.... it is my favourite new tool! If you don't own one, you have to pick one up while you are shopping it is so cool! I then finished off the layout by adding a few buttons!


Now for this next layout, I used a plain piece of yellow cardstock as my base piece of paper. I then inked the edges of a clear 12 x 12 Transparency Overlay also from the Summer Soiree kit. I then used my Crop A Dile to puch holes along the entire right side of my layout and added knots of ribbon.

I then used a border punch to punch along my photo and then matted it on an orange piece of cardstock, I added it to my layout along with a little strip of ribbon and a little quote. I also left the bottom side of my photo unglued so it can double as a pocket to hide my journaling card!


And to finish off my layout I filled in the sun on the overlay with buttons, and also added little beads to a couple of the flourishes!

Dive Into Summer ~ Jackie's Creations

Dive into summer with the wonderful patterns and colours in the fun and fresh paper pack from Fancy Pants Summer Soiree Collection! I love the bright colours, and the floral patterns!

This first layout is of my family's favourite place to camp, Moberly Lake!! It has beautiful campsites and the area is breathtaking! Now first of all I distressed my base piece of cardstock. I then used my border punch on a smaller piece of plain cardstock and I only punched two edges. Next I inked the edges of my fun title and glued that and my photos to my layout.

I added a fun rub on also from Fancy Pants Designs Summer Soiree Collection. Then I added three little one inch squares of patterned paper some buttons and voila a fun layout of our favourite summer time getaway location!

This next layout is of my Niece and Nephew playing at the park on the slide!To make this layout first I used my border punch on one side of my title, and my base piece of cardstock. Then I glued my photos and my title to my base piece of cardstock.

I then added a pretty flower from Prima Flower Frillies - Yellow these flowers are so pretty and at just $2.99 a package you will want one in every colour! Next I added the word play with BoBunny chipboard letters. And a cute little bracket from Making Memories Felt Alpha Stickers - Green! I then added cute buttons from Basic Grey - Lime Rickey Buttons as bullet points for my journaling!

Pretty Pearls And Ribbon Galore ~ Jackie's Creations!

Today I am going to share a layout of my Daughter and her Best Friends!First I distressed my base piece of cardstock, and inked it up a little. Then I applied a square of patterned paper, the paper is from DCWV - Citrus Stack! This paper stack is full of fresh pretty patterns with a hint of glitter the perfect choice for this fun funky project!

I then added my photos leaving a little portion unglued making them into pockets for my journaling cards. I left two spots for journaling cards so my Daughter can dedicate one journaling card about each of her friends!I then added some fun chipboard flourishes and a pretty flower all are from BoBunny!Next came my title first I distressed and inked a small piece of yellow cardstock then I added a die cut from Making Memories - Bohemia Line and some chipboard letters.

Now for the strips of ribbon....to achieve this effect I used my craft knife and cut two little strips from my cardstock. I then tied ribbon around it all the way down the strip!Then I added a gorgeous butterfly diecut from Crate Paper - Mia Line, for some added bling I added some pearls for the body of the butterfly!Next to finish off the layout I stapled a strip of yummy ribbon from Pink Paislee - Sweet Cakes Line!

Precious Petals ~ Jackie's Creations

After a fun afternoon at the park and a loaded memory card I knew I had to make a layout of this sweet photo of my niece Chloe! And the perfect paper for this project was the super sweet paper from Basic Grey's Eva Collection. I love this collection the pages are in all of my favourite colours and remind me of a gorgeous bouquet of flowers! Make sure to check out all the Printed Packs that are available in the store there is enough paper to choose from and they will make your heart sing!

First, I tore a strip of pink cardstock and crumpled it up a bit and sanded it to give it a nice distressed look! This technique works great if you are using cardstock that has a white core like Core'Dinations Whitewash Cardstock! I then cut a strip of a different patterned paper from Basic Grey's Eva Collection and distressed the edges and when I glued this to my layout I left a small space on top where I did not apply any adhesive making it into a pocket to hold my journaling card.

To finish off the layout I added some pearls from Kaiser Craft, my title, a cute quote and a super sweet flower from Pink Paislee's Fabric Petals from their Winsome Enchanting Collection! These precious petals are so cute you will want to pick up a pack of every colour! And at this price you believe me you can!

Something Old And Something New

I was out this weekend looking for treasures at garage sales and I came across a bag of unfinished building blocks! These blocks mixed with yummy supplies from Posh Designs Scrapbook Store equal cute blocks you can use as home decor!

First I covered all sides of the blocks except for the sides I wanted to put photos on with some yummy paper from Cosmo Cricket - Jacks World! I then sanded all the edges to give them a nice smooth look. And finished the edges with chalk to add some colour. I then added the word love from the fuzzy felt alpha letters from Making Memories Felt Alpha Stickers - Green!

Stop by the store and pick up a beautiful Printed Pack of Paper to turn something old into something fabulous and new!

I also made a layout of my cute Nephew Caleb this weekend. First I matted my photo and then adhered it to my base piece of cardstock from BoBunny.I then inked the edges and I also inked the edges of the gorgeous chipboard flourishes from BoBunny and added a bit of cute ribbon.

And I added additional layers to a gorgeous Prima Flower to make an extra large flower!Make sure to check out all the flowers that are in full bloom over in the store! A girl can never have to many flowers!

Time to grab your blankets and lawn chairs and hit the beach! The weather is gorgeous, and it's the perfect time to take in some sunshine, and take some gorgeous photos!

Smiles Make the Heart Bloom ~ Jackie's Creations

There is nothing like seeing a child's smile and hearing their laughter! And the fun bold colours in the line from Cosmo Cricket - Jack's World was the perfect choice for a layout of my Nephew!Both the paper and the fun title are from this line!

And to make my flower from Bo Bunny pop I added liquid pearls to make light blue polka dots!And the gorgeous chipboard flourishes are also from Bo Bunny Press!

With the right products it is easy to make a clean quick layout with ease! And Posh Designs Scrapbook Store has everything you need!

And after you have done all your fabulous shopping over in the store before you throw out all your packaging think again!!

I made these super sweet ATC'S from clear packaging from my scrapbooking supplies!!

First I cut my cards they should be 2.5x3.5. I then decorated each card with fun rubons from Imaginisce - Twitterpated. I also used Bazzill in Stitch'z Floss to stitch a fun border on one of my ATC'S!

Sweet Giraffes And Circles Galore ~ Jackie's Creations

Today I am sharing a layout of my Nephew. I was so excited to play with April's Design Team Kit it was packed with fun bright papers from Cosmo Cricket - Jacks World! The perfect match for this playful picture of my Nephew!

First I tore a plain piece of cardstock and adhered it to my base piece of cardstock. I then added my photo.And I stapled some fun ribbon also from Cosmo Cricket - Jacks World to my layout.

I hand cut some circles and glued them to my layout before I did my stitching.To hold the circles in place. And I only applied adhesive to the edges, so I would not have to stitch through paper and glue...this could cause my layout to tear and mess us my needle with the adhesive.

I then added my chipboard title and some fun flourishes from BoBunny. And to finish the layout a cute little giraffe sticker!

Having fun in Jack's World ~ Jackie's Creations

I love giving gifts! And a pretty gift bag brings a smile to everyone's face! I am not sure if you are like me, but I have never decorated my own gift bag. Well one item in this months Design Team kit was a gift bag just waiting for me to decorate!

I cut the words and flowers on my cricut using the George Cartridge. I cut numerous flowers in different sizes and layered them and curled the edges to give a 3d effect! I then used a gorgeous brad from Basic Grey Glazed Brads - Offbeat Collection for the center of each flower!

And the gorgeous papers are from Cosmo Cricket - Jack's World! These papers are so cute and are perfect for all your projects about your little ones! Adorable monkeys and bears to smiling alligators!!


It only took one evening to make this cute little mini album and gift bag.I first covered the album cover and pages with super the cute papers from Cosmo Cricket - Jack's World I then trimmed the edges and chalked the edges with some brown chalk.

The cute ribbon is also from Cosmo Cricket - Jack's World. And to make my title I used funky chipboard letters by Bo Bunny.Next I added some pretty flowers by Bo Bunny as well, and a sweet little bird sticker from Imaginisce - Twitterpated - Bluebird .

I used the photo of my Daughter as a pocket to hide my journaling card. I then added some cute rubons also from Cosmo Cricket - Jack's World!

My little Nephew is such a little character the cute little monkey was the perfect rubon to add on this page! I also made his photo double as a pocket to hold my journaling card. I stapled some ribbon from the same line Cosmo Cricket - Jack's World onto the journaling card to give it a playful look. And the cute chipboard buttons are from Bo Bunny.

I ruffled some paper and applied it to the back of my photo using my new Glue Glider Pro Unit! You have to check out this Glue Glider it is so cool my new favourite adhesive!It is refillable and easy on the wallet, defiantly worth every penny!

Sweet Butterflies, And Shimmery Petals ~ Jackie's Creations

I love when you see a great sketch, and it instantly sparks an idea for a layout!

Today I am sharing a layout that is my interpretation of Posh Designs Sketch Challenge #7! It is a layout of our dog Lily! She is such a sweetie!

The gorgeous chipboard butterfly is from Scenic Route. And the shimmery flowers are from Imaginisce - Rainbow bloom in purple!

Sping has Sprung, Butterflies are Everywhere ~ Jackie's Creations

My heart fluttered when I opened this months yummy Design Team Kit from Posh Designs Scrapbook Store! Everything was perfectly coordinated just waiting for me to add my photos and imagination!

This first layout is of my daughter being her quirky self! As soon as I seen this photo I new I had to use it on a layout!

The pretty paper is from KaiserCraft - The Vagabond Line! These papers are so gorgeous be sure to get two of each sheet because they are double sided and it is hard to choose which side to use!

To start I distressed my photo, I then matted it on a torn piece of pink cardstock. I only adhered three sides of the photo, leaving one side open to use it as a pocket for a journaling card. I also added a few buttons. And the pretty title from Crate Paper's Mia Collection (Pillow Box Diecuts).

I then added a flower using a glue dot, and for the center I used a gorgeous Prima Bubble Embellishment. I just love butterflies, and these little bubbles from Prima are so gorgeous!

For the Subtitle I used fun rubons from Daisy D’s! And the gorgeous decorative bracket is from Cosmo Cricket - Girls Galore. I really love that brackets are a big trend right now! Also be sure to check out all the fabulous stickers available at Posh Designs Scrapbook Store!

All papers used for this second layout are also from the Kaiser Craft - Vagabond Line! After inking the edges of my base piece of paper I then cut an 3.5 x 6, a 5 x 8.5, and finally a 8.5 x 1.5 piece of patterned paper.

I then adhered them to my layout and added beautiful flourishes from Cosmo Cricket - Girls Galore. And some sweet ribbon from Pink Paislee - Sweet Cakes Line and the title from My Mind's Eye - Bohemia 2 Line.

The rubon underneath the title, and on the photo are from Daisy D’s as well. I used Rangers Liquid Pearls to paint the pretty butterfly from Scenic Route, and matted it to give it some depth.

Sweet Mini Wall Hangings ~ Jackie's Creations

I love making presents for my family and friends! So I made these two little mini wall hangings for a few coworkers!

I started with plain 2 x 2 chipboard squares. I chose these gorgeous papers because they are so bright and cheerful! They are from Fancy Pants - Daydreams Collection! After adhering the paper I sanded the edges to give it a
smooth look.

I then decorated them using quotes and flowers, I also added ribbon and some chipboard elements for a fun look! To atache the bulky elements like buttons and chipboard I used a glue runner, check out this glue runner! Sometimes you need strong adhesive to get the job done, and a glue stick just won't do!

To put all the pieces together I used my Crop A Dile to punch holes along the edges and weaved ribbon through and left a loop at the top for hanging. I hope you have enjoyed my sweet mini wall hangings! Happy Scrapping!

Pretty As A Princess ~ Jackie's Creations

It was like Christmas when I got this months Design Team Kit! Nini puts together stunning coordinated kits, packed with products that any girl would love! This layout is my interpretation of Nini’s Latest sketch challenge over at the Posh Designs Interactive Community. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you must!

For this Layout the yummy papers are from Kaiser Craft ~ Vagabond Line! As soon as I seen these beautiful papers I had to make a layout of my daughter. First I used my corner punch on the base piece of cardstock to round all four corners. I also rounded the corners of my pictures as well.

I then used a plain old dinner plate and traced a circle on two of the pieces of paper. To spice up my circle I used a scalloped pair of scissors and cut out my circles and after inking the edges I adhered them to my base piece of cardstock along with my photos.

For the title and subtitle I used fun Daisy D’s Rubons. And the pretty glittery brackets are from Crate Paper ~ The Mia Line. The rubons that are on my photos, plus the pretty rubon flowers by my title are from Imaginisce ~ The Twitterpated Line. I then used plain small silver brads to attaché a cute transparency from My Minds Eye ~ Bohemia Line and a blue piece of card stock to my layout to make a fun pocket to hold my journaling card.

Now the flowers….I love the new Prima Flowers!!! They are simply gorgeous! The big pink flower is the new Lollipop Flowers by Prima. I then layered pretty Prima Fancies Aloha Petals and attached them to my layout using decorative brads. The chipboard butterflies are from Scenic Route. I covered them with cardstock and sanded the edges. I then used liquid pearls and dots of bling, plus small flourish rubons from Daisy D’s to decorate them. And to give them a finishing touch I made small antennas from crafting wire. I then adhered them with glue dots to my layout.


This second layout is of my Niece and some of her many toys! These fun papers are again from Kaiser Craft ~ Vagabond Line. First of all I chalked the edges of my base piece of cardstock. I then matted my photo and adhered it to my layout.

I used a pink piece of scrap paper to make a fun scalloped border using my decorative scissors. I added pretty layered Prima Fancies Aloha Petals using glitter brads. And to give this layout a playful look I decided to cut my photos plus some plain coloured cardstock in different sized circles.

I then cut a 3.5 x 5 piece of blue cardstcok and inked the edges before adding it to my layout. My title is again fabulous rubons from Daisy D’s. And using glue dots I then added some buttons. I also made some small flourishes using Perfect Pearls.

To finish it of a glittery diecut from Crate Paper ~ The Mia Line, a perfect spot to add the date on my layout!

Precious Kitty ~ Jackie's Creations

I spy with my little eye a kitty named Precious! This is a layout of my cat Precious. As soon as I seen this cardstock from the Fancy Pants - Daydreams Collection in last months Design Team Kit, I knew it was the perfect piece of cardstock for this project!


To start this layout I distressed all the edges of the paper. I then added the cute bird transparency frame from My Minds Eye - Bohemia Line. I chose to use it as a pocket to hold my journalling card.

My title is made from the fun fuzzy Making Memories - Felt Alpha Stickers in Green. I just love the stickers they give layouts dimension and warmth. Once you use them, you will want a package in each colour!

I then matted my photo on plain pink cardstock and adhered it to the layout. Followed by some gorgeous blue ribbon from the Pink Paislee - Sweet Cakes - Ribbon Set I really love this ribbon. It is so cute and wonderful to work with I highly recommend it! I then added a flower from my stash and a couple bling dots!

Dream A Little Dream! ~ Jackie's Creations

First of all I have to admit I am so excited to post my first Design Team creations! I am honoured to be a member of the Posh Design Team, and would like to thank Nini for this wonderful opportunity!

I also urge you to join our Interactive Community, it is a really friendly group of ladies that are super talented!

I was very happy to get my first kit from Posh Designs Scrapbook Store! It was bursting with so many scrapbooking goodies, it was exciting to open the box and see it all! Now I am going to share some of the layouts I made using the fabulous Design Team kit I received.


This first layout is of my daughter and I.

The gorgeous base piece of cardstock is Fancy Pants - Daydreams - Envision. I covered the base piece of cardstock with a stunning transparency overlay Fancy Pants - Daydreams -A little Dream. I stapled in various spots around the edges to atache the cardstock and the overlay together. I thought it gave the layout a fun look.

What I love about these transparencies is you don’t need a distressor to give the edges a cool look! I just curled and bent them by hand, I love the finished look. I then folded the top right corner and added a button. I also added a button in the middle of the flower on the transparency using a glue dot.


For the title I used the We R Memory Keepers - White-Out - Nonsense - Color Rub-Ons. They are such fun rub ons, and come with so many designs I just love them!


I distressed the edges of my photo and matted it on a pink piece of cardstock. I adhered the photo to my layout, using my tape runner. I did not glue the right side of my photo to the layout because I wanted to use it as a pocket to hide a journaling spot. I used a plain piece of lined card stock as a journaling tag.

The stunning flower is from Imagisce - Rainbow Blooms. Shimmer and shine these flowers are beautiful! I added a fabric covered brad to the center. And to finish it off I used my paper piercer to pierce flourishes, and added some bling around the photo.

This second layout is about my Grandmother.
The base piece of cardstock is Fancy Pants - Daydreams - Dream. I just love the look of this paper it is so pretty.

I then cut a 3 x 11 piece of gray cardstock and trimmed the edges with decorative scissors. I covered the cardstock with the gorgeous KaiserCraft Fozz Felt Flower Power Fushia!


Then I added buttons, brads and small green felt flowers and circles to the felt. The green flowers and cirlces are Making Memories - Felt Alpha Stickers - Green. I also used these fun fuzzy felt stickers to make the title on this layout. I then attached the finished felt and cardstock strip to the layout using a tape runner.



I added fun flower rubons from Fancy Pants - Daydreams Collection. Okay I have to admit I was not one to use rubons often…but I am now! I love this line of rub ons. They are really cute and you get so many fun designs it is such a great value!

The little journaling spot and the word memories are We R Memory Keepers - White-Out - Nonsense - Color Rub-Ons. If you have any questions about these projects please feel free to contact me.
