I hope you are having a great start to the week thus far... If shopping was on your agenda this past weekend; you will have noticed that Halloween merchandise is in full force dominating the shelves and store windows.
Well for a novice seasonal decorator, I wanted to have some fun with the Halloween decor in my home but was not ready to commit having decor pieces being stored in my home. So of course I used my Cricut and 2 cartridges: Cuttin' Up & Hello Kitty Greetings to create this really simple decor piece that took no longer than an afternoon to create.
This is a great opportunity to use up some of those Halloween papers either they are scraps, last year's sheets (so you can buy this year's paper packs such as Basic Grey's Eerie Collection, a good excuse to always buy, *lol*) or even use up what you've bought this year.
You may have noticed that I have used some scraps from previous projects from the past 2 weeks for my home decor piece. Also this is another wonderful opportunity to recycle those paper towel holders (which was used as my anchor) and cereal boxes (which were used for all the letters and bat shapes).
After some paint, sandpaper, eyelets and jute threading; you will have created a one of kind piece for pennies on the dollar and the best part... You have the choice to commit storing it away for next year after Halloween is over.
Thanks for looking and if you'd like the instructions, please send me a message via the online Community site.
